Congrats to Coach Chase and the Montgomery Firefighter Combat Team for winning 1st Place this past weekend at the Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge. We’re getting together to watch the final day of the 2012 Reebok CrossFit Games on ESPN3. Join us on Sunday, July 15 at 2 p.m. You must RSVP via Facebook or email to receive Cory’s address in Capitol Heights. We’ll have a grill going. Bring a chair, your own food and drinks (we’ll have plates, plastic-ware, cups and napkins), and a swimsuit & towel if you want to swim. Kids are welcomed!
We will have an altered schedule on Saturday, June 30; Wednesday, July 4; and Saturday, July 7. On June 30 and July 7 (both Saturdays), we will have a group WOD at 9:00 a.m. only for all members, including public safety personnel. The Boneyard will close at 10 a.m. We will resume our regular Saturday schedule on Saturday, July 14.
Join us at 7:00 p.m. on July 4 for a special Independence Day WOD. (The Boneyard is closed for morning and afternoon classes. Our regular class schedule will resume on Thursday.)
After the workout, we are going out to grill out at the gym (bring your towel to shower) and watch the 4th of July Riverfront Celebration Fireworks. David and Jennie will provide chicken for everyone. Bring your own sides, drink, and a camping chair.

Three Rounds for Reps:
– Burpees in 1 Minute
– Power Snatches in 1 Minute (75#/55#)
– Box Jumps in 1 Minute (24″)
– Thrusters in 1 Minute (75#/55#)
– C2B Pullups in 1 Minute
– 1 Minute Rest
“Hope” has the same format as Fight Gone Bad. In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of “rotate,” the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep.
CrossFit Embrace in Dothan is hosting a one-day Garage Games Series event for individuals and two-person teams similar to our Pound For Pound on Saturday, June 23. Memorial Day is a day of rememberance and reconciliation. Many observe this day by visiting cemetaries and memorials and spending time with family and friends. Join us at The Boneyard on Monday at 4 or 5 p.m. to spend time with us and a hero – Lt. Michael “Murph” Murphy – to honor our fallen military members. Cookout: Katechis Farm (400+ ft. from Paintball)
WHY: We are saying farewell to 25 military family members that are moving soon.
BRING: Your own drinks (cooler), a lawn chair, a side dish, and fishing pole if you want to fish. Lawn games are needed!

Attending the Cookout?
Place your name and what you plan to bring to the cookout on the sign up sheet at the gym. If bringing significant others to Paintball and/or the Cookout, place the number of people that will be accompanying you. Please make enough food to feed 20-25 people. Let’s try to keep the number of similar dishes down to 4. Desserts are considered a side dish. J Paleo foods are welcomed! Non-Paleo foods will be happily eaten. Those not bringing a dish can donate $5 to Jennie or David for meat, consumables, (vacation fund – j/k) and “fill-in” items.
