Today I completed the Upper Body UGS from Friday. This was my third UGS workout this week. I completed all 17 rounds! I used two 12kg kettlebells on presses (did 10 reps on first three rounds and 5 on last two) and rows; did deadhang pullups using the red band; did regular pushups with no modifications (first-time ever!); did 65lb. cleans; used small tire, used 20kg KBs for Farmer’s Walk (had no grip by this time); and used the 8lb. sledge hammer. It took me about 1 hour to complete. I am so used to doing Crossfit workouts that last 5-35 minutes. I have to keep reminding myself that UGS is not “for time.” You can rest between rounds. I have enjoyed doing UGS this week and look forward to doing more. Everything in my body feels loose and limber after I complete these workouts. It’s an awesome feeling! 🙂
